Yes. Your Peach account lives in the mobile app, the web app connects to it. Download the app, create your account in seconds (and back it up!), then pair your browser by scanning the QR code.
Web App FAQ
Do I need the mobile app to use the web app?
Does Peach hold my bitcoin when I trade on desktop?
No. Peach is self-custodial everywhere: every trade is protected by a multisig escrow and your bitcoin goes straight to your own wallet. The bigger screen changes nothing about who holds the keys.
What can I do from the desktop?
Browse the full order book, send and accept trade requests, create buy and sell offers, and keep an eye on your ongoing trades: everything you do on mobile, except for the signing operation. See the blog post on the subject for more details!
Is pairing with a QR code safe?
Yes, it works just like WhatsApp Web. Scanning links your browser to the account on your phone. Nothing is shared with anyone else, and the session ends as soon as you close the window — you can also log out at any time. Make sure you are on the correct url (web.peachbitcoin.com)!
Does the web app cost anything extra?
No. The web app is free to use and trading fees are exactly the same as in the mobile app.
How do I disconnect a web session?
Closing the browser window logs you out automatically — nothing stays signed in, which makes the web app safe to use even on a shared or public computer. You can also log out at any time with the button in the top right corner.
Which browsers can I use?
The web app works in any modern, up-to-date browser — for example Firefox, Chrome, Brave, Safari or Edge — on Linux, macOS and Windows. No extension or installation is needed: just open web.peachbitcoin.com. For privacy, prefer a browser you trust and keep it updated.
What happens if my phone is offline?
Your phone holds the keys to your account, so actions that need a signature — like releasing the escrow — require your phone. You can still browse the order book in the web app, but to complete sensitive trade actions, bring your phone back online and confirm there. Your funds in the multisig escrow are never at risk while your phone is offline.
Can I pair more than one browser?
Yes, you can pair as many browsers as you like: just scan the QR code on each computer. Every session lasts only until you close the window or log out, so nothing stays signed in behind you.
Why do I confirm some actions on my phone instead of the browser?
That's self-custody by design. Your private keys never leave your phone, so anything that moves bitcoin — like signing the escrow release — must be confirmed in the mobile app. The browser is a convenient window into your account; your phone remains the vault.
